Natyakala: Theory, Performance and Practice is the culmination of the research papers that were presented in the International Seminar on Theatre in India: Theory, Performance, and Practice, which was an integral part of the Annual Theatre Utsav Season Two, organised by Amity School of Languages, Amity University, Lucknow Campus. This volume is a compilation of twenty-two research articles that examine various aspects of Theatre as an art form. The published papers explore various topics, including an analysis of specific plays using different literary theories, a study of their cinematic adaptations, an examination of Theatre in the context of the Indian Knowledge System, a historical look at the role of costumes in theatre, and the use of role-play and improvisation in language learning. Broadly, Theory, Performance and Practice offer a three-pronged approach to the selected papers compiled in the book.
